The monitoring of total phosphorus in wastewater is also of great concern! So what issues do you need to pay attention to when monitoring wastewater as a general manager? In this chapter, the manufacturer of online water quality monitoring equipment will come and learn about it with everyone!
· Steps to understand the water sample content before determining total phosphorus.
· If the total phosphorus of the water sample taken by the customer does not exceed 0.5mg/L, then it can be tested according to the operation steps in the manual;
· But if the total phosphorus in the water sample exceeds 0.5mg/L, it must be diluted first and then operated according to the steps in the experiment.
· When the total phosphorus in the customer’s water sample exceeds 0.5mg/L and there is interference from arsenic, chromium, and sulfur under acidic conditions, when there is a lot of interference, the first step is to dilute it to the interference concentration, and then carry out the operation experiment.
· Methods for diluting total phosphorus water samples.
· Dilute twice, take out a 100 milliliter volumetric flask, measure 100 milliliters of distilled water, pour it into a 500 milliliter beaker, and then use the same volumetric flask to clean twice first (because the distilled water hanging on the wall will dilute the water sample, we need to ensure that the inner wall is the same water sample). Take 100 milliliters, pour it into the same 500 milliliter beaker, mix well, and this is dilution twice.
· Dilute 4 times, use a 25 milliliter Fat Degree pipette to measure 25 milliliters of sewage sample, dilute to volume in a 100 milliliter volumetric flask, add distilled water to the mark, and mix well.
· Dilute 5 times, use a 20 milliliter Fat Degree pipette to measure 20 milliliters of sewage sample, dilute to volume in a 100 milliliter volumetric flask, add distilled water to the mark, and mix well.
· Dilute 10 times, use a 10 milliliter Fat Degree pipette to measure 10 milliliters of sewage sample, dilute to volume in a 100 milliliter volumetric flask, add distilled water to the mark, and mix well.
Working Principle of TP-8000 Total Phosphorus Online Analyzer
Polyphosphates and other phosphorus containing compounds in water hydrolyze under certain conditions to form phosphate ions; For other difficult to oxidize phosphorus compounds, they will be oxidized to phosphate ions by the strong oxidizing agent sodium persulfate. In acidic media, orthophosphate reacts with ammonium molybdate and potassium antimony tartrate to form phosphomolybdate heteropolyacid compounds. This compound is reduced to blue phosphomolybdate by ascorbic acid, and the total phosphorus content in the water sample is obtained by measuring absorbance. If measuring phosphate, it is possible to directly measure phosphate in water without the need for oxidation reaction.
