The concentration of wastewater discharged varies among different departments. For instance, wastewater produced during the oil refining process has an oil content ranging from 150 to 1000mg/L, while the tar content in coking wastewater is approximately 500 to 800mg/ L. It is precisely for this reason that the treatment of oily wastewater requires the use of oil separators to recover floating oil or heavy oil. Another issue is that emulsified and dispersed oil in wastewater is difficult to handle. What we need to do is to prevent or reduce the occurrence of emulsification. There are two treatment methods. One is to reduce the emulsification of oil in the wastewater during the production process.
