Some Problems About Water Quality Safety

Water is an indispensable resource in our lives, once the water quality safety problems, it will directly affect the ecological environment and human health, so remember! This aspect cannot be ignored. In this chapter, water quality online monitoring instrument manufacturers and everyone understand some problems faced by water quality safety. From the following points:

Insufficient and overexploitation of water resources

Water resources are the basis of water quality safety of urban water supply. The shortage and exploitation of water resources pose a potential threat to the water quality safety of urban water supply.

Water environment is polluted

Due to the discharge of industrial wastewater, the water source is threatened, and the main pollutants in the water source are organic matter, ammonia nitrogen, volatile phenol and so on. The surrounding environment of some water sources is not scientific, and the river water source is often affected by the discharge of industrial wastewater.

Traditional water treatment technology has been difficult to adapt to the treatment process of micro-polluted water sources

The drinking water purification method adopted in this region is basically the traditional water treatment process, that is, coagulation, precipitation or clarification, filtration and disinfection, which is only suitable for the treatment of unpolluted natural source water, difficult to remove organic matter, ammonia nitrogen, volatile phenol and other dissolved pollutants in the water, and is not suitable for the treatment of underground and surface source water with different degrees of pollution.

Secondary pollution during transportation and storage

After strict purification treatment and disinfection of tap water in the pipe network transportation and tank (tank) storage process, due to the entry of external pollutants and internal microbial mass reproduction and breeding, resulting in secondary pollution. The water supply network in this region has a large coverage, and some areas have a large chance of secondary pollution due to the long residence time of water and the use of secondary pressurized water supply. The survey shows that the water quality at the end of the pipe network and the water end after the reservoir (tank) is 10%~50% lower than the qualified rate of the factory water, the sanitary indicators, the sensory characteristics indicators have declined, the residual chlorine amount is too large and the unqualified rate of chlorine odor is 15%~26%, so that the originally qualified water becomes unqualified water or the quality of high-quality water has been reduced to a considerable extent. (If you need to monitor the total residual chlorine in water, you can use the RCl900 total residual chlorine online analyzer)
