For testing and experimental products like these, errors are inevitable. What we can do is minimize these errors as much as possible. To avoid or reduce errors during wastewater monitoring, multiple aspects need to be considered, such as ensuring proper transportation, sample collection, pretreatment quality control, and managing the accuracy of water quality monitoring instruments. This article, in collaboration with Hangzhou Modi, discusses key points to note during the actual operation of online wastewater quality monitoring and how to address errors that arise during wastewater monitoring.
There are three Key Points to Pay Attention to During Operation:
1.During the process of water quality analysis, staff should carefully focus on reading, verifying, and recording values. If any issues are identified, the cause should be promptly investigated and addressed.
2.Additionally, judgment based on experience is important. Water sample analysis is highly repetitive, and the environmental agencies in each region are responsible for relatively fixed wastewater discharge points. The composition of the water quality is relatively stable. If severe pollution occurs (such as unauthorized discharge of wastewater or chemicals that do not meet standards), staff can use their experience to verify the data, making the process more efficient.
3.Data reading must be standardized to improve data accuracy.
How to handle errors generated during wastewater monitoring? They can be addressed based on direct and indirect measurements! Please read below for specific methods!
1.Handling direct measurement errors refers to reading data directly from the instrument. During the process of water pollution environmental monitoring, various conditions or instrument factors can interfere, making it difficult to obtain accurate data. In such cases, repeated testing is necessary. Compare the data from multiple monitoring sessions, derive the average value, and then make adjustments based on the actual error. During this process, for results with small errors, appropriate calculations can be performed using the data from the instrument. For data with large errors, half of the smallest scale division on the device should be taken as the error of the single measurement.
2.Handling indirect measurement errors refers to a method of calculating results from data. In wastewater monitoringand testing, formulas for direct measurement are used to calculate indirect measurement values. Generally, the error in indirect measurement is related to inaccuracies in direct measurement and also depends on the form of the formula used. For indirect measurement, different errors for the same water quality should be examined, and the error situation should be obtained by summing these data.
